Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what recent discussions she has had with the British Cement Association on the use of alternative fuels.

Answer: Dr. Murrison: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what recent discussions she has had with the British Cement Association on the use of alternative fuels. [91847] Mr. Meacher: Officials of the Department have occasional contact with the British Cement Association on a range of environmental issues. A meeting on 18 December 2002 included discussion in general terms of the potential for the cement industry to burn alternative fuels.
