Proceeding contribution from Jackie Doyle-Price (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 14 January 2014. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Lower Thames Crossing.
Lower Thames Crossing
I thank my hon. Friend the Minister for his remarks and he is getting to the nub of the issue for myself and my hon. Friends who are here today, namely that the crossing is the only link between Kent and Essex and the only link that connects up our ports. As the only crossing east of London, it is the only show in town when there is disruption, and that is why we need something else to build resilience into the system.
