Government Departments: Freedom of Information

Question: To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, pursuant to the answer of 17 July 2026, to Question 18042, on Freedom of Information, if she will place in the Library a copy of the most recent Round Robin guidance on answering incoming Freedom of Information requests; and on what date has a Round Robin list most recently been released in response to a Freedom of Information Act request.

Answer: The Freedom of Information Round Robin list is circulated twice weekly to departments. The Cabinet Office will not be placing the most recent copy of the list in the Library as it would likely prejudice the effective conduct of public affairs by inhibiting the free and frank provision of advice. The Cabinet Office will disclose Round Robin lists in response to Freedom of Information requests where the public interest weighs in favour of doing so. The most recent disclosure was in May 2026.
