Budget (Northern Ireland) Order 2006

I thank the Minister for confirming the figures. In fact, they are even higher than I was expecting. I hope that a family of six people in County Offley or anywhere else in the Republic of Ireland recognises that this £1,250 means, on the simplicity of these figures, that they would have to send a cheque of £7,500 per annum simply to keep Northern Ireland going as it is. Secondly, when the Minister says that Great Britain sends £5 billion to the Northern Ireland Exchequer, there are also Exchequers in Edinburgh and Cardiff which will likewise receive subventions from Great Britain.
