To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what plans he has to carry out an inquiry into the Inland Revenue's handling of applications for (a) child tax credit and (b) working tax credit. - Ref to 28 April 2003, 404 c53-69 and 4 June 2003, 406 c120WH. (Holding answer 5 June 2003).

Mr. Russell Brown: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what plans he has to carry out an inquiry into the Inland Revenue's handling of applications for (a) child tax credit and (b) working tax credit.
