- To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether the remit of non-executive directors in departments of state includes evaluating the performance of Ministers and Permanent Secretaries.

Non-executives were invited to give feedback on Permanent Secretaries as part of a 360-degree feedback process. Ministers and Permanent Secretaries may be assessed as members of departmental boards. This varies from board to board at the chairman’s discretion.
