- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what budgetary provision his Department has made in 2010-11 for the conducting, directly or otherwise, of scientific procedures on animals pursuant to his Department's objectives; and how much was spent on this in 2009-10.

The Home Office administers a cross-Government account to fund counter-terrorism research. None of that money is ring-fenced for animal research; and no details are held of spending on animal research in 2009-10, or planned spending for this purpose in 2010-11.
