CHILDREN OF CHERNOBYL
That this House notes that each year 4,000 Chernobyl children benefit from a recuperative holiday in the UK; further notes that these holidays are paid for by the Chernobyl children's charities; further notes the Belarus government's temporary suspension of the visits; urges the Government to take every step necessary to reach an acceptable agreement quickly with the Belarussian government so that planning can proceed for this summer's holidays in the UK; welcomes the Government's waiver for visa fees for Chernobyl children from Belarus; and urges the Government to introduce a similar arrangement for Chernobyl children from Ukraine.
