The title and purposes of the specified events booked through Calder Conferences Limited are as follows:
(i) The Old Ship Hotel on 29 May 2025: “Covid 19 Inquiry - Listening Event”. This was part of the Covid-19 Inquiry’s public listening initiatives which enabled bereaved individuals to share their personal experiences and impacts of the pandemic, to be used as evidence for the Inquiry's investigations.
(ii) Westminster Chapel on 9 July 2025: “Infected Blood Inquiry Hearings.” The venue was required to conduct hearings for the Infected Blood Inquiry.
(iii) Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge:
11 and 13 December 2024: Details regarding the specific purpose for these two bookings are not held centrally, as they occurred prior to the implementation of the updated guidance on external venue bookings which was issued on 4 April 2025.

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what steps her Department is taking to ensure that strategic suppliers build resilience into their delivery chains.
In 2019, the Government introduced arrangements for the monitoring and management of strategic suppliers through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) agreed between the Government and each strategic supplier. Under the MoU, strategic suppliers agree to provide the Government with information required to monitor and manage risks across their supply chains.
In addition, the Government regularly publishes Key Performance Indicators for its most significant contracts to maintain visibility of delivery performance. Individual contracting authorities are responsible for undertaking appropriate due diligence as part of their procurement processes.
The Procurement Act 2023 further strengthens the ability of contracting authorities to respond to poor performance and to mitigate risks across public sector supply chains.

Whilst an official assessment has not been made, the difference in expenditure between 2023/24 and 2024/25 increased by £38,483. Facility time for 2025-26 was not reported, as it is no longer a requirement following the repeal of the Trade Union (Facility Time Publication Requirements) Regulations 2017 in February 2026. The Cabinet Office published facility time data for the last time in 2024/25.

(a) The Cabinet Office estate isn’t currently using rooftop solar panels.
(b) Feasibility studies are currently being conducted at a number of Cabinet Office locations. Where opportunities are identified that rooftop solar panels can be installed, the earliest opportunity to commence delivery would be from the financial year 2027-28.

The Mission Delivery Unit closed in 2025 and the delivery and monitoring capabilities of that unit were integrated into joint teams working across Downing Street and the Cabinet Office. Since the restructure, these teams now form part of the Office for the Prime Minister and Cabinet (OPMC).
