That this House recognises that there is a paramount need for media reports not to endanger in any way the safety of allied forces, operations or installations; but fears that the media ground rules under which Her Majesty's Government is requiring the British Media to operate from the Gulf, if implemented fully, could severely inhibit accurate and objective reporting; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to review these rules to ensure that the British public is provided with as full, honest and unflinching an account of events as possible.
