The information requested around the number of cases passed from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) Call Centres to those offices in Scotland is available only at disproportionate cost, due to the work required to extract it from HMRC's systems.The majority of the HMRC offices in Scotland are held under the terms of the HMRC private finance initiative (PF1) contract with their estates supplier, Mapeley. This contract includes a high level of flexibility for HMRC to vacate properties at nil or limited cost during the life of the contract. HMRC intends to maximise the use of the contract's flexibility and until vacation plans for each office are finalised, it is not known whether disposal costs will be applicable. Formal vacation notices for each office are due to be issued by summer 2010.

All of the HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) offices in Scotland identified for closure are held under private finance initiative (PFI) arrangements. The majority are held directly by HMRC under the Strategic Transfer of the Estate to the Private Sector (STEPS) contract with Mapeley, which provides a high level of flexibility for HMRC to vacate properties at nil or limited cost during the life of the contract.The remaining offices being occupied by HMRC under sharing arrangements with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and subject to DWP's PFI contract with Trillium.

I thought the hon. Gentleman was getting up to thank the Labour Government for the tax credits on innovation in the games industry in Dundee, but he is silent. He cannot bring himself to support his constituents and his city.
I am proud of what we have achieved over the past 12 years, and I thank the people of Scotland, because together we have made Scotland a fairer, more confident place. The last thing we need is a vote for the SNP, to bring in the Tory party by the back door.

No depleted uranium shells were test-fired in Scotland in 2009. The last test firings took place on 11 and 12 March 2008, when a total of 20 rounds were fired at the Kirkcudbright Range in Scotland

The latest available national insurance contribution data are for 2007-08. Employee and employer class 1 contributions for 16 and 17-year-olds in Scotland between 6 April 2007 and 5 April 2008 are estimated to be around £5 million. estimates for class 2, 3 and 4 are not available.The total national insurance contributed by Scotland is estimated to be around £7.7 billion.

Most of HM Revenue and Customs' (HMRC) offices are occupied under the terms of private finance initiative (PFI) contracts, under which the Department is unable to disclose running cost information for individual offices due to commercial sensitivity considerations.For those offices not held under a PFI arrangement, running cost information is provided in the following tables—information prior to 2006-07 is available only at disproportionate cost.

HM Revenue and Customs' (HMRC) main estate partner is Mapeley with whom it holds the Strategic Transfer of the Estate to the Private Sector (STEPS) contract relating to accommodation and facilities management for offices in Scotland and throughout the UK. HMRC also has estate contracts with London and Regional Properties for two offices in Scotland, one in Edinburgh and one in Glasgow.
