That this House notes that there were 124 deaths from fires in Scotland last year, that lit cigarettes are the main source of all such fire deaths and that Scots are twice as likely to die from smoker fires as people in England and Wales; and urges the Government to introduce urgent legislation to require tobacco companies to produce fire safe cigarettes, similar to that recently introduced to the US Congress.
