Mr. Pike: To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office what further changes he proposes to make in the deregulation process following
the publication of the better regulation guide. [58935]
Mr. Kilfoyle: Following the publication of the Better Regulation Guide, the Government are establishing systems to monitor new
regulatory proposals, as well as training and arrangements for regulatory reporting, in order to promote the better regulation
process.
The Guide does not affect availability or use of the Deregulation order making process and we will continue to put forward draft
orders for consideration by the House of Commons Deregulation Committee and the Delegated Powers and Deregulation Committee of the
House of Lords. The Government is also looking at the scope for reform of the Deregulation and Contracting Out Act 1994.
