To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, further to the answer of 22 June 2026, to Question 10189, on Databases: EU law, if they will list the data and reporting requirements that the department must make to the European Commission and its agencies.
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero supplies monthly crude oil data to the European Commission.
The UK’s obligation to provide crude oil data to the Commission is included in article 15(3d) of the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland, reference Annex 2, S47 to Council Regulation (EC) No 2964/95 on crude oil imports and deliveries in the Community.

In our response to the Nuclear Regulatory Review the Government set out that we will deliver the reforms through a combination of legislative and non-legislative measures. In the King’s Speech we announced a Nuclear Regulation Bill. Further details will be set out in due course.

We are negotiating an electricity agreement with the EU to reduce the cost of trading electricity with our European partners, strengthen the UK's energy security, support investment in the North Sea, and help deliver our Clean Power 2030 mission.
In line with the outcome of exploratory discussions, the UK and the EU will discuss the relevant rules relating to the promotion of renewable energy. Any commitments in this area, including those relating to Directive (EU) 2023/2413 (RED III), remain subject to negotiation.
The terms of any future agreement, including any assessment of its impacts, will be developed through those negotiations.

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, whether he plans to align future biomass sustainability criteria with the land-use, land-use change and forestry requirements set out in the EU Renewable Energy Directive III.
The Government has consulted on proposals to develop a Common Biomass Sustainability Framework and is analysing responses received. As stated in the consultation (p18), the sustainability criteria used by other countries and regions will be one of our considerations when deciding what works best for the UK.
The final design of the Framework will be informed by the evidence and views gathered through the consultation.
