Mr. David: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what steps he is taking to improve protection for individual airline
passengers against the failure of scheduled airlines. [99913]
Mr. Jamieson: This is not a matter for Government. Some passengers are protected by virtue of the way they pay for their tickets.
For others, insurance against scheduled airline failure is readily available.
