To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment she has made of the appropriateness of time taken to implement road safety measures following serious or fatal road traffic collisions; what steps her Department is taking to reduce barriers to the introduction of traffic calming measures where local communities and police forces have identified safety concerns; and whether she has made an assessment of the impact of planning, consultation and regulatory requirements on the time taken to introduce such measures.
