Proceeding contribution from Meg Hillier (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 15 September 2026. It occurred during Backbench debate on Residential Buildings: Safety Remediation.

Residential Buildings: Safety Remediation

We have lost a lot of experienced planners and there is not always a pipeline coming through with the necessary experience. Can we lobby the Treasury for support for local government in that respect?
