Proceeding contribution from Matt Western (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 24 January 2022. It occurred during Opposition day on Cost of Living Increases.

Cost of Living Increases

I thank the hon. Member for giving way; he is being generous with his time. On energy bills and the cost of living, does he agree that one of the great losses to these islands is the fact that the Government prevented more land-based wind turbine arrays which would have brought

down the cost of energy significantly as the cheapest provider of electricity? That would have made a significant difference to energy costs.
