Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what the benefit-cost ratio was in his Department's final business case for the Northern Hub project.

Answer

Business cases were undertaken for each major scheme contained within the Northern Hub programme. Before funding was agreed, the benefit:cost ratios were in the range of 2.1 to 4.2. These will be subject to change as each scheme reaches a further level of development.
