The UK Country Team in Sierra Leone is involved in preparations for the election process as well as in monitoring the implementation of the elections in November 2012. Other international organisations offering support include the UN Development Programme and the UN Integrated Peacekeeping Mission in Sierra Leone. We understand that the Economic Community Of West African States, the Commonwealth and the EU are considering sending observer missions to the elections.
