To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, pursuant to the answer of 9 July 2026 to Question 14350 on Propriety and Constitution Group: Recruitment, whether Ministers will be involved in the appointment of the permanent Director General of the Propriety and Constitution Group.

The recruitment for this role will be conducted in accordance with the Civil Service Recruitment Principles.
Paragraphs 39 to 43 of the Recruitment Principles set out the nature and extent of ministerial involvement in senior Civil Service recruitment processes.
