Question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, if she will hold discussions with the London Stock Exchange on the Companies intending to launch an initial public offering on the New York Exchange rather than London.

Answer

It is a commercial decision for individual firms to decide where to list.

The government has established the Listings Taskforce to ensure the UK attracts the best and brightest businesses from the UK and around the world, to list on UK markets.
