Turkey: Economic Situation

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent discussions his Department has had with the Government of Turkey on the strength of its (a) economy and (b) currency.

Answer

We have regular discussions with the Turkish government and the Central Bank of Turkey over economic and monetary issues as part of our normal day-to- day diplomatic engagement.
