Proceeding contribution from Rob Marris (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 19 November 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on European Communities (Finance) Bill.

European Communities (Finance) Bill

May I put to my hon. Friend the question I put to our right hon. Friend the Chief Secretary earlier? Does she agree that when it comes down to it there are two core issues, both of which are good for our country? First, are we in or out of the EU? We should be in—it is good for our country. Secondly, do we agree—I think we should—with the principle of redistribution of wealth to eastern Europe? I think that is a good thing for our country. Those are the two questions.
