Proceeding contribution from Russell Brown (Labour) in the House of Commons on Friday, 26 January 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on Energy Saving (Daylight) Bill.
Energy Saving (Daylight) Bill
My hon. Friend is absolutely correct. As I have said, I am disappointed about the muddying of the waters and the false choice that appears to be offered to us. The Bill contains much to be commended. Like many colleagues who have spoken, on both sides of the argument, I am sensitive to its aims. As I have clearly indicated, however, I cannot support the Bill, because of three clauses in particular.
