- To comment on sickle cell and thalassaemia services; and what representations he has received about these services; what action he has taken to ensure that people with sickle cell disease & thalassaemia & carriers have access to appropriate services; what guidance has been issued to district health authorities & if he will adopt 10-point charter drafted by organisations with community health councils & other user representatives. - Inc fact that currently providing section 64 funding to sickle cell (#35,000) & thalassaemia (#28,000) societies. (Holding answer 20 Dec 1991).
