To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, what is the remit of the BSE unit; how many persons work in the BSE unit; what is the role of his Departments BSE unit in relation to the independent inquiry; what is the total proposed budget for the unit for each year; how many staff are allocated by grade; name and grade of the civil servant in charge; the arrangements for ensuring the accountability of officials in BSE unit to Ministers; and if BSE defence unit and BSE unit are the same organisations. - Includes figures.
