Mr. Simpson: To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many people in Scotland received hospital treatment as (a) in-patients and (b) out-patients for cold-related illnesses for the period December 1996 and January 1997; and what was the average figure for similar periods in the past 10 years. The table provides information for the 10 year period to January 1996. Information on out-patients is not held centrally.
