Dr. Reid: To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received concerning maternity care in Lanarkshire; and if he will make a statement. [3493] Lord James Douglas-Hamilton: I have received written representations from the Royal College of Midwives and three others. Lanarkshire health board's on-going public consultation on their proposals for the reprovision of maternity and related services will continue until 9 December 1996. No final decisions have yet been taken.
