Emergency Calls

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many (a) genuine and (b) malicious emergency calls were received by Kent police in each of the last three years.
Answer

The latest figures are available from the Home Office and show the number of 999 calls received by Kent police, 2008-09 to 2010-11. These figures are provisional, subject to change and have not been verified by the force. The breakdown of whether the emergency calls were genuine or malicious is not held centrally by the Home Office.
