Blood: Imports

- To ask the Secretary of State for Health pursuant to the answer of 17 October 2011, Official Report, column 76W, on fresh frozen plasma, whether the figures in the table include (a) the cost of importing fresh frozen plasma from the Austrian Red Cross and (b) the cost of processing that imported fresh frozen plasma.

NHS Blood and Transplant has confirmed that the cost of £4,949,045 for plasma processing, provided on 17 October 2011, Official Report, column 76W, does include the cost of importing and processing fresh frozen plasma from the Austrian Red Cross.
