Extradition
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what assessment her Department has made of the extent of parity in extradition processes between the UK and (a) other OECD countries, (b) countries in the Americas and (c) South Africa.
- Answer

No such assessment has been made; the Government have commissioned an independent review into the UK's extradition arrangements, to ensure they operate effectively and in the interests of justice. This review is being led by Sir Scott Baker and the panel is due to report back by September 2011.
