Government Equalities Office: Personnel

Question
To ask the Minister for Women and Equalities what plans she has for the number of staff of the Government Equalities Office in each of the next five years.
Answer

Between financial year 2010-11 and the end of the spending review period in 2014-15 we expect to see Government Equalities Office (GEO) staff numbers fall from 120 to just below 100. How the numbers will change in particular years cannot be forecast precisely as it will depend on some factors outside GEO's control such as individual's career choices.
