- To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many (a) individuals and (b) full-time equivalents were employed in the NHS in each year since 2006.

The annual national health service work force census shows the number of staff working in the NHS as at 30 September each year. The following table shows the number of headcount and full-time equivalent staff employed in the NHS for 2006-09.
