Blood: Screening

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will review the scope of the current routine blood test for the purposes of extending it to include testing for levels of B12 serum; and if he will make a statement.
Answer

The particular blood test or tests a clinician requests will vary according to the circumstances of an individual patient's case including the symptoms with which they present, their medical history, and information about their family or occupation.
