Diabetes: Pupils

- To ask the Secretary of State for Health what discussions he has had with Ministerial colleagues in the Department for Children, Schools and Families on the provision of training for school staff in supporting schoolchildren with diabetes; and if he will make a statement.

The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families and the Secretary of State for Health meet regularly to discuss matters of interest to the two Departments. This has included the child health strategy, due later this year, which will cover a range of issues including the care of children with long-term health conditions, such as diabetes.
