Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what use there has been of notices under section 49 of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 since 1 October 2007.
- Answer

Since October 2007, a total of 26 notices have been issued. 13 individuals have been charged with failing to comply with a section 49 notice and one person has been convicted.
