Roads: High-occupancy Vehicle Lanes

- asked Her Majesty's Government:How the requirement for vehicles using high-occupancy vehicle lanes to have more than one passenger is to be enforced; and by whom.

The enforcement of high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes on the trunk road network will be carried out by the police. The Highways Agency is working closely with them to agree appropriate measures for enforcement, prior to the introduction of the first HOV lane on the trunk road network.
