Nightstar Rolling Stock
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how much was spent from public funds on the manufacture of Nightstar rolling stock; and if he will make a statement.

The order for Nightstar stock was placed in 1992 by European night services, a consortium of European railway operators, which included British Rail.The financial consequences of the decision not to proceed with Nightstar services were described by my right hon. Friend the then Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions in his statement to the House of 3 June 1998.
