Tax Credits

Question
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many families were in receipt of (a) less than £1,000, (b) between £1,000 and £2,500, (c) between £2,500 and £5,000, (d) between £5,000 and £10,000, (e) between £10,000 and £20,000 and (f) above £20,000 of working tax credit and child tax credit in (i) the UK and (ii) Gravesham constituency in each of the last three years.

The following table shows the average number of in-work families in the UK during 2003–04 by level of annualised finalised tax credit entitlement.
