Question
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department pursuant to the Minister's statement in the Standing Committee on the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Bill, on 25 October 2005, Official Report, column 237, when the full review and evaluation of section 9 of the Asylum and Immigration (Treatment of Claimants, etc.) Act 2004, will be completed; if he will place a copy of the study and its results in the Library; and if he will make a statement.
Answer

The Immigration Service/National Asylum Support Service (NASS) review and evaluate section 9 is currently ongoing. The document is scheduled to be completed by the end of February.
