Ms Keeble: To ask the Secretary of State for Health who is responsible for commissioning general practitioner services for people living in residential care homes. [222464] Mr. Hutton: All patients in residential care homes are entitled to the full range of personal medical services and the same rights of access to primary care as any other patient group. It is for primary care trusts to ensure general practitioner services are commissioned to meet the needs of their local population.
