BRITAIN'S BUILDING OF THE YEAR AWARD

That this House warmly congratulates the Alfred McAlpine Kirklees Stadium in Huddersfield on receiving the Royal Institute of British Architects 'Building of the Year' award; further congratulates the excellent partnership between Kirklees Council, Huddersfield Town Football Club, Huddersfield Rugby League Club, the Lobb Partnership, YRM Anthony Hunt Associates, Alfred McAlpine Building North and the stadium development team for their vision and dedication to the project; notes the tremendous achievements of the stadium; and wishes it every success as a national and regional focus for sport and leisure.
