Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Corbett of Castle Vale (Labour), on Monday, 21 November 1994, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 98 members in total.
CARL BRIDGEWATER CONVICTIONS
That this House notes that it is more than a year since extensive new evidence in the case of the men convicted of the murder of Carl Bridgewater was submitted to the Home Secretary; believes that all of the evidence now available should be tested and examined in open court; and calls upon the Home Secretary to refer these convictions to the Court of Appeal without further delay.
